2022 M.U.F. MUSIC SHEETS and useful links

The sheets & supporting links are arranged below in the order that we’ll perform them at M.U.F., first in the Chalice church on Saturday 19 March 3:15 – 3:45pm.  YY will reappear on Sunday 20 March @ 1-1:45pm on the courtyard stage for a play-a-long set: essentially a repeat with a few play-a-long songs added to involve the audience.

Now that we have reached almost midway in our set, I have to warn you to get your hankies ready.  Our next two wonderfully written songs came up in rehearsals over the last year and begged to be shared and performed to an audience but, be warned, (sniff) they’re tear jerkers.

The first is from You Am I’s legendary Tim Rogers:

Now, the lock downs of the last two years inspired a lot of creativity and Yarra YUkers produced a series of videos for the Virtual KLUB MUK productions throughout 2021.  Here’s a spoof of a Billy Eilish song that we had a lot of producing:

Finally, good people, we would like to finish with an infinitely lingering song that helped us bring us through the last two years.  It was once voted the best Australian song of the nineties and naughties.  We’re sure you know and love it too. Moreover, here we are in a church and this song was first performed by The Church.

Made my day v.2   Possibly the most intriguing thing about this ‘boom it out’ feel good anthem is the “I’ve got custard in my underpants” strum!  (as you recite the line, strum ‘down   down    down up   up   up up    down up’!  ie. you swap the direction you strum on the syllables “cus-tard” and “..der pants”.  Tricky until you’ve got the trick!).

Made my day v.2   Possibly the most intriguing thing about this ‘boom it out’ feel good anthem is the “I’ve got custard in my underpants” strum!  (as you recite the line, strum ‘down   down    down up   up   up up    down up’!  ie. you swap the direction you strum on the syllables “cus-tard” and “..der pants”.  Tricky until you’ve got the trick!).
