We will visit the Mercy Place Nursing Home on Tuesday 27th November for our annual Xmas performance. We’ll gather at the Yarra @ 6pm as usual, warm up and then head over.

To those of you who have popped by during the year, moved away or stayed with us throughout, Season’s Greetings! and please have a safe holiday time.
Betty France will be by to lead the group on the 4th & 11th December: great uke tips and harmonising! Harry will be back on the 18th and it would be great if you brought along some fav’ songs to share for a sing-a-long break up. We will take a break from then until mid/late-January 2019.
After some years, it seems we will have to move home away from the lovely Yarra Hotel in the new year. L They will be using the band room for new comedy nights. We have a whisper of a couple of possible venues but nothing at all definite at the time of writing. The Yarra has been brilliantly convenient, being near the Victoria Park station and Eastern Fwy. We thank them for their warm hospitality.
We will let you know when we find a new home. J (and, of course, please get in contact a.s.a.p. if you know a suitable venue (i.e. a free room at another convenient pub!).
2019 Plans:
In 2019 we are booked to play at the Kingsbury Bowl’s Club at the end of April (28th) and no doubt we’ll put our hands up for the Melbourne Ukulele Festival that will most likely turn up in Northcote/Thornbury sometime in March. This will enable us to work our way back through much of our familiar repertoire over the last few years as well as showcase some ace new arrangements. We will also keep up our performances with regular appearances at the KLUB MUK ukulele open mic night.
We are really looking forward to seeing you in 2019.
