Videos and Soundcloud clips to help you rehearse

Hi Folks!

Just so you won’t miss them, here are some links to help you rehearse with some current tunes.

  1. How do you play the intro riff for Echo BeachHere’s the sheet with the tab and here’s a quick tute uploaded to YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQNm3-0RwG0
  2. How about the cool riff for ‘Feeling Alright‘?  Well, you’l find the ukulele tab at this location and a video tutorial for the riff uploaded HERE!
  3. You’re not feeling stuck are you?  I’ve uploaded and commented on a recent rehearsal (22 Oct) of ‘Stuck In The Middle With YouHERE on SoundCloud.  It’s great to check out the orginal clip too.  You’ll find it on YouTube @https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OMAIsqvTh7g
  4. On Tuesday night (22 Oct), we reintroduced an old fav’ that very few current YUkers know: ‘Jackie Wilson Said’, from our 2017 Melb Uke Fest set list.  You can find the sheet HERE and an extended recording of us working through it for the first time ON SOUNDCLOUD HERE.
  5. And a final extra clip, though it’s not on our set list atm, is a 3/4 time version of Tom Wait’s “Come on up to the house”.  You’ll find it on the YouTube Great Big Ukes channel, to which you should subscribe, of course! 😉

Oh, while you’re on SoundCloud, I LIKED Stephen Tabaner’s wonderful version of MAD WORLD.  Check the PLAYLISTS on Great Big Ukes.  ST makes it sound like a etherial church hymn. It’s also a wonderul example of how we might use our voices more imaginatively in our arrangements.  The chords, btw, are G min/  Bb/  F / C.  (Thanks Paul C for the link).
